Report:
The ride on 11th August at Pedas was an unforgettable experience, marked by the relentless rain that accompanied us from start to finish. We kicked off the ride at 9am morning, fully aware that we were in for a wet and wild adventure. The rain never let up, soaking our apparel through and through, but the spirits of the riders remained high.
As we made our way through the trail, navigating the varied terrain of Pedas, one of the highlights of the day was searching for the paper markers on the ground. This task turned into a fun little game, as some of the papers were placed strategically, leading us in the right direction, while others turned out to be clever scams that sent us on a wild goose chase. It added a layer of excitement to the ride, keeping everyone on their toes.
A special mention goes to our youngest rider, Zing, who at just 6 years old, completed the short ride. He was motivated not just by the challenge, but by the chocolates (a.k.a dung) scattered along the ground, which served as both a reward and encouragement for the young adventurer.
Our deepest thanks go out to Mike Phoon, the hare for this ride, and the entire KLMBH group for organizing such a fantastic event. Despite the challenging weather, the route was meticulously planned, leading us through fields of grass, dense bushes, flowing rivers, and of course, plenty of mud. Along the way, we were treated to sights of buffalos and cows, adding to the rustic charm of the Pedas countryside.
Overall, the 11th August ride was a memorable experience, where the rain only added to the fun. It was a true testament to the spirit of our group—no weather can dampen our enthusiasm for adventure.
