BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND….. SG. LONG 2.0
We just did a night bash here on September. Although it was raining when we started the ride which make the trail very slippery and muddy. Some guys told me it was a really nice flowy single trail and we should do another bash here for November (Probably they were influence by the beer, before and after the ride).
As I have mention on September brief. This trail in Sg. Long were built by some of the most
dedicated MTB riders staying around these area. A lot has happen since that September night. This trail has been extended longer. Some steep climb and descend has been added to make the trail even more interesting.
The Ride
Long -- A 18km of figure 8 loop with approximately 500m elevation gain. Less than 3km on tarmac and the rest will be mostly offroad, gravel road and lots of single track. The trails are all rideable except a 20m hike-a-bike. This ride is suitable for all skill level MTB riders. But prepare to have few major climb. Fast and strong riders are encourage to do the long ride for the slow or short riders to clear off in the later part of the single track
Short – Will start of together with Long route. There will be a split after the first tarmac climb. Will be all single track after about 2km in the open. Total for short ride is 12km with around 250m elevation gain.
There will be no cut off time and no sweeper. Just follow papers and you’d be alright.
A few ride tips and cautions:
We recommend you to bring a minimum of few litres of water, spare tube, necessary bike tools and a good sense of humour. Last but not least, NO HELMET, NO RIDE!
The trail may be wet and muddy in some section due to raining season.
Please practice trail etiquette, let the fast riders to past in the single track section. There will be few open area to rest. Please don’t block the trail.
Stay on papers and have a great ride!!
Hi. Can I push my EMTB for the 20m hike-a-bike path? My EMTB is 35kg which is heavy for 1 person to carry. Or maybe a fellow cyclist could help me for the 20m path?
