WOOHOOOO….. NIGHT RIDE. GET YOUR LIGHTS READY!
Been a long time since the last night ride. More than half of this hash trail in Sg. Long backyard was built by some of the most dedicated MTB riders staying around these area. They have spent countless man-hours building these trails. Chopping trees and clearing bushes just to fill their need to have a good workout while enjoying their MTB ride in their own backyard. While they will like to share these trails with other MTB riders to have some optional trails in their regular rides. As you all know, MTB trails are getting lesser or shrinking around Klang Valley.
The Ride
There won’t be a Long or a Short. Just a single 17km of figure 8 loop with approximately 500m elevation gain. Less than 3km on tarmac and the rest will be mostly offroad, gravel road and lots of single track. The trails are all rideable except a 20m hike-a-bike. This ride is suitable for all skill level MTB riders. But be prepared to have a few major climbs.
There will be no cut off time and no sweeper. Just follow paper and you’ll be alright.
A few night ride tips and cautions:
This is a night ride. Please bring along some lights. There are lots of winding single trail. We recommend 2 front lights, 1 headlight and 1 handlebar light, and 1 rear blinker.
Please follow paper. There may be lights everywhere in the trail. If you follow other riders light. You may end up going in circle or in a ditch. Don’t worry, we will lay enough papers to start a fire.
For the inexperienced riders or those with dimmer lights. If you are not sure on certain parts of the trails. Please push your bike or let someone lead the way.
We recommend you to bring a minimum of 3 litres of water, bike lights, spare tube, necessary bike tools and a good sense of humour.
Last but not least, NO HELMET, NO LIGHTS, NO RIDE!
Stay on papers and have a great ride!!
