TRAIL DESCRIPTION

For the first bash of 2019 KLMBH hash, we’d like to throw in a bit of surprise. Bukit Hijau is a beautiful trail to get the year started. KLMBH #287 bash at Puncak Alam may sound familiar to some riders but we assure you this is a completely new trail.

For this bash, there is only one loop of track covering 18km of off-road mostly a mix single and doubletrack through palm and rubber estate surrounding Bukit Hijau, which is a popular hiking area with a nice view at the peak.

With slight elevation gain of 430m, the bash will take you through the natural dragon back hills of Puncak Alam.

Trail gradients are moderate with a wee bit of short steep sections.

The ride will bring you through the beautiful scenery of the surrounding hills.

You can either ride the full 18km loop in one go like a championship racer, or take it easier taking in the sights for fun riders. As Malaysia is currently experiencing hot weather now, it would be wise to bring more water.

Although this trail is rideable with minimum technical terrain, it is NOT recommended for newbies and/or kids. There is a mini Redbull Rampage downhill section and there are no chicken loops.

What do we always say? Always follow paper! On on!

Important:

  • Do join and listen to the morning briefing before starting the ride.

  • BRING PLENTY OF WATER (3 LITERS MINIMUM) and some trail food/snacks. There are no water stations along the ride.

  • No helmet no ride!

  • Mountain biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risks. It should only be undertaken with a full understanding of all inherent risks.
